Elders are elected with first term elders serving a 1-year term, then may serve two consecutive 3-year terms.

Shepherding the flock means to provide oversight for the general spiritual welfare and growth of the congregation; to participate in the teaching ministry of the church; to oversee the communion service at regular and special worship services; and to attend and participate in meetings of the General Board and Congregation.
